Electrical Equipment Torque Verification Label Instructions

Additional Installation Guide can be found here: Label Instructions

  1. Identify Label Placement:
  • Choose a flat, smooth area on the electrical equipment where the label is visible.
  • Avoid placing the label near heat sources or moving parts.
  • Ensure the area is easily accessible without disassembling the equipment.
  1. Clean the Surface:
  • Wipe the chosen area with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Clean the surface with a mild cleaning solution to remove grease or oil residues. Isopropyl alcohol is effective for this purpose.
  • Dry the area thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  1. Prepare the Label:
  • If your label is on a roll or sheet, carefully peel it off to avoid creasing or damaging the adhesive side.
  • Hold the label by the edges to prevent fingerprints on the adhesive.
  1. Position the Label:
  • If precision is required, use a ruler or tape measure to find the exact placement.
  • Align the label with the desired spot, but avoid touching the back to the surface just yet.
  1. Apply the Label:
  • Gently place one edge of the label onto the equipment.
  • Slowly lower the rest of the label, smoothing it out with your finger or a flat edge (like a credit card) to prevent air bubbles.
  • Start from the center and move outwards to ensure an even application.
  1. Secure the Label:
  • Once the label is in position, press firmly over its entire surface for a few seconds to enhance adhesion.
  • Be careful not to slide the label as you press.
  1. Inspection:
  • Check for air bubbles or edges that aren’t fully adhered to.
  • If any bubbles are present, gently press them towards the nearest edge to expel air.
